Amid anti-CAA protests across the country, a young couple from Pathsala town in Bajali sub-division (now declared as Bajali district) covered 9500 km in a biking journey to promote Assam tourism.


During their journey, the couple has covered 15 states a total journey of 9500km within 21 days.The main aim of this journey was to make people aware of the beauty of Assam across India.


The duo Rakesh Choudhury and Nitumani Talukdar covered Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bangel and three union territories.

The duo started their adventurous tour from the Hari Mandir premises in Pathsala and culminated at the same venue on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the couple was felicitated by various organizations at Pathsala in front of the Hari Mandir.


The couple informed that during their tour, they were welcomed by the public in various places and extended support.


They informed the people about the motive behind their tour. People from various places also became part of their journey and appreciated their initiative.


Earlier, Ananda Khataniar, brand ambassador of the forest and environment department of Assam, had flagged off the bike journey in presence of Bajali cycling community, Luit riders, members of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) along with the locals of the area.
