Assam Police, local businessman, employers along with various political parties distribute food items among poor people affected by lockdown
Various organisations, individuals and police personnel, political parties were seen providing the poor and needy with food and other essential commodities in various parts of Bajali amid the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
The nationwide lockdown imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to contain the spread of novel coronavirus entered the 16th days on Wednesday.
The people of Bajali area decided to contribute to the Assam Arogya Nidhi in order to fight against corona besides distributing food stuff among the poor sufferers of the locality. Patacharkuchi Development Committee, Sibadham Parichalana Samiti, Munindra Narayan Goswami, an octogenerian social worker and litterary pensioner donated Rs. thirty thousand, twenty thousand, and five thousand respectively day before yesterday to the fund through Dr. Sangita Sarma , Circle Officer Bajali Revenue Circle. Durga Puja Parichalana Samiti also contributed twenty thousand to the Assam Arogya Nidhi today
Apurba chakrabarty, BDO, Bajali Development Block showed response to the call of Finance Minister to take care of poors by the service holders. He distributed food stuff packets to ten families under the block.
Among them Manoranjan Roy of Badankuchi, Sanjib Talukdar of Uluwa, Chakradhar Das of Bichankuchi, Pona Baishya. Maya Kalita, Gautam Medhi and Narayan Das of Barbhaluki, Bhanita Devi, Sabita Devi and Mridul Sarma of Barbang.
State executive member of BJP, Phani Pathak along with party workers distrbuted food to one hundred people who is financially weak and urgent need of food. His aim is to distribute food to more than one thousand needy people in Patacharkuchi constituency.
Meanwhile Girija Sarma a retired teacher of Bhaluki village also distributed food stuff among Rajen Kalita, Pradip Kalita, Dinesh Kalita, Pranita Kakati and Rina Devi’s family. Jagadhatri Village organisation donated five thousand to Arogya Nidhi Fund.
Meanwhile Chakradhar Thakuria, employee of Patacharkuchi Sub Registrar office, Jiten Das. Teacher and Gobinda Sarma agent of insurance also distributed essential materials in a number of village. Under the leadership of Nagen Choudhury president of Bajali zila BJP packets of essential commodities has been distributed in various Panchayats under the Patacharkuchi constituency.
Santanu Kumar Das , a businessman of Pathsala town distrbuted food to five hundred poor people in Pathsala.
The Bajali Sub Division Police Administration is continously distributing food staff among poors.
