The erstwhile Bajali College now converted to Bhattadev University is allegedly planning to remove Higher Secondary course from the university and the move is strongly opposed by the AASU and ABVP Unit of the university.

The unit already submitted memorandum to the Vice Cenceller of the university to stop such move immediately.

Meanwhile the Bajali and Bhattadev university Unit of Akhil Bharati Vidyathree Parisad also sent petition separately to the Health and Education Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma not to remove the higher secondary level course from the university in the greater interest of the students of the locality.

The AASU unit in the memorandum also pointed out the Bhattadev University Act 2017 section 6 (18) where the provision of HS course is mentioned.

They also sent copies of the memorandum to the Governor of Assam including Chief Minister and Education Minister.
