On the occasion of world health day AYUSH Ministry organised Yoga Mahotsav in association with an organisation named ‘Brain and Figure, Pathsala’ to commemorate of 8th international day of Yoga, 2022 at Jalikhata Siva Temple where Asia’s 2nd largest banyan tree located in lower Assam’s Bajali district.

In the programme various social and health issues raised by the people. Brand Ambassador of forest and Environmental department of Assam, Ananda Khataniyar was also present.

The prime part of Yoga Mahotsav is to focus on the yogic philosophy demonstration of yogasana and the public practice of Asana.

Khanin Roy said, founder of brain and figure, “Yoga is the ultimate way to self realization. For physical and mental health one can addopt yoga. In this competitive world, people becomes strassed and emotionally challenged. As a result many youngsters get depressed and get addicted to drug or end their lives. So, to get out of depression one needs to practice yoga ashanas.”

Meanwhile, The Ministry of Ayush held a grand program ‘Yoga Mahotsav’ at Red Fort to demonstrate a common yoga protocol on World Health Day on Thursday. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal participated in the event organized in Delhi.
