Yoga camp held in Bajali for voter awareness

To create awareness among the people the district administration of Bajali in collaboration with Yog Mandir, Pathsala and in association with Kalibari Than Management Committee organised a yoga camp for voter awareness at Jalikhata village where Asia’s 2nd largest banyan tree is located.

In the programme, Hiya Medhi, the election officer of Bajali and Urmi Medhi ADC were present and delivered a speech on voter awareness and the new voter method of registration.

A seeker of ashtanga yoga who has been spreading awareness against drugs and depression with various physical activities and adventure tasks since 2016 Khanin Roy, who was invited to conduct the yoga camp explained the contribution of yoga in building a healthy and harmonious society and responsible citizens.

Event coordinator Smita Parashar gave a speech on the benefits of yoga to fight against Stress, Anxiety, and depression. Earlier she teaches yoga free of charge to many people during the COVID-19 lockdown.
