In a powerful and inspiring message to the future torchbearers of the nation, Union Cabinet Minister Sarbananda Sonowal called upon the youth to take bold steps to protect the environment and embrace a lifestyle rooted in discipline, purpose, and wellness. Speaking at the Foundation Day celebration of Sreeram Academy in Pathsala, Sonowal’s words ignited a spark of awareness and responsibility among students, urging them to be active contributors to a sustainable future.

“Global warming is a real threat. I urge the younger generation to take steps in saving the environment for a better future,” said Sonowal, as he passionately appealed to students to understand the urgency of climate action. His message resonated deeply with the audience, underlining the pivotal role young minds must play in safeguarding the planet.

The minister also emphasized the importance of integrating Yoga and holistic health practices into daily life. “Yoga is not just physical exercise; it is a way of life that brings mental clarity and physical strength. It helps one stay focused, balanced, and healthy,” he said, encouraging students to embrace discipline and self-care.

The event, hosted with enthusiasm and grandeur by Sreeram Academy, began with a heartfelt welcome from Chairman Dr. Dulal Talukdar and Principal Kakali Das. They shared the institution’s vision of empowering students with values, knowledge, and leadership skills.

Adding to the inspiration, Prof. Dhanapati Deka, Vice Chancellor of Bhattadev University, stressed the need for technological awareness. “Every student should have basic knowledge of computers, programming, and artificial intelligence. It’s not just about academics—it’s about survival in the digital age,” he remarked, bringing attention to the rising threats of cybercrime and the importance of digital literacy.

Hrishikesh Goswami, Director of Assam Sishu Sahitya Nyas, provided practical advice for the younger generation, urging them to stay focused. “Concentrate on your profession. Instead of spending time making reels, focus on your goals and aspirations,” he said, offering a much-needed reminder in the age of social media distractions.

The program also featured colorful cultural performances by the students, reflecting the spirit and talent nurtured at the institution. Bhawanipur MLA Phanidhar Talukdar also graced the occasion, further encouraging the young minds with his presence.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Dr. Dulal Talukdar said, “We work hard for our school, and this day reflects our dedication to shaping bright futures.” His words summed up the collective mission of the academy—to inspire, empower, and build responsible citizens.
