In a bid to boost immunity a girl here started online Yoga coaching.The restricted travel, panic over the risk of infection, continuous flow of negative news and scarcity of day-to-day material followed by lockdown  and the corona pandemic are all adding to growing anxiety. Being confined inside homes situation is mentally challenging.

Besides staying connected to family and friends, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, there is also one other thing that can help keep anxiety and mental health in check – yoga. This girl is from Assam’s Barpeta district takes to teaching yoga online, during the COVID-19 lockdown, to help people ease their stress.

She is Smita Parashar a resident of Pathsala town in Barpeta district, Assam. And a founder of ‘Arogyanindra Health Care digital platform.

Smita who completed B.P.Ed course specialization in yoga and Masters in yogic science and naturopathy.

 

While speaking to the Times of Northeast she said, “I want the upcoming generation to remain stress-free with a strong immune system and healthy body, “So I am teaching yoga to the students through online zoom app, Stay fit during coronavirus lockdown by practising yoga at home.As social-distancing has reduced our physical movements, it is important to uplift vitality without having to step out of the comfort of your home. With the practice of good hygiene, one must also adopt for ways to boost your immunity naturally.

She also added,”Yoga is a sustainable practice and a holistic health option that everyone can access. It can be adapted and learned by everyone throughout the world. It’s a perfect time to start a regular yoga routine as we all are ‘working from home’ and social-distancing due to lockdown scenario.”

“To start online classes its not possible without my friend Dhruv Arora and Arindam Bharali who support me in every step of this journey.” she added

 

“I can’t sleep when there is no work due to the COVID-19 lockdown yoga help me from depression”, said a student of the teacher.

“I’m an asthma patient (minor asthma), and I have started doing yoga from last few days. I have direct personal experience with my asthma being completely cured solely by Yoga practice”. said one another student.

The solo attempt of the girl is highly supported  by people and praised her attempt.
