BU (Bhattadev University) in lower Assam’s Bajali district is going for poll on January 12 for formation of the student union body in the varsity.
The preparation work is in full swing among the students. It is learnt that the AASU and ABVP will put their candidate forward for the polls.
Three candidates are contesting for the post of general secretary, and three for the president post. Meanwhile, for the vice president post, two candidates filed nomination among 36.
Four candidates won the elections without contest as there were no opposition. The election for the first body will be a significant one.
It may be mentioned that, for the first time after declaration of University from Bajali College the institution is going for poll.
