Truck carrying Bitumen catches fire at Pathsala NH-31

Amid the night curfew across the state, a truck bearing registration no NL-01-AE 3992 carrying Bitumen catches fire at Pathsala near ‘Kohinoor Nursary’ in Assam’s Bajali district around 10 pm on Tuesday.

According to police, the truck from Kolkata was heading to Nagaon carrying Bitumin to repair roads. The incident occurred due to the over heating of the engine.

Later, Bajali police along with a fire tender rushed to the spot to douse the fire and was stopped from spreading.
