A 6-year-old boy named Bridger Walker from Wyoming, USA saved his little sister from a deadly dog attack on 9th July 2020. Bridger’s aunt, Nicole Walker shared the details of the deadly encounter on Instagram along with some adorable pictures of the siblings.

My nephew is a hero who saved his little sister from an attacking dog. He, himself, took on the attack so that the dog wouldn’t get his sister,” she shared on Instagram. “He got home from the hospital last night. I know it’s a long shot, but I’m reaching out to the Avengers and other heroes so that they can learn about this latest addition to their ranks,” she added.
The post went viral and Bridger Walker is being hailed a hero after he displayed enormous courage in saving his sister.

Noticing a ferocious dog that was approaching his sister intending to attack, Bridger jumped in front of the dog and took the wrath of the dog on his face and head to save his little sister.
After the incident, Bridger Walker was immediately taken to a hospital, where he received 90 stitches from a skilled plastic surgeon, his aunt shared.

Nicole shared that when asked why he put himself in harm’s way “Hero” Bridger Walker said, “If someone was going to die, I thought it should be me.” She said that Bridger even after getting bit several times on the face and head he remained firm and eventually grabbed his sister’s hand and ran away from the dog.

“Bridger saved his little sister’s life by standing between her and a charging dog. After getting bit several times on the face and head, he grabbed his sister’s hand and ran with her to keep her safe,” Nicole shared in another Instagram post that featured images of Bridger’s injured face.

Nicole informed that Bridger is now recovering and his wounds are healing. “His wounds are looking so much better!” Nicole wrote on 12th July “He’s in great spirits, and his awesome personality is intact.”
She also mentioned that the dog owners have been very kind to Bridger and the rest of the family. “If anything—there’s only been an increase of love between our families as a result of this incident,
” she wrote.

Nicole’s posts about Bridger Walker and his sister went viral have liked on Instagram over 1,000,000 times and gained nearly 35,000 comments. His story has also gotten over 35,000 upvotes on Reddit, a link-sharing platform. Most of the comments have been positive, praising Bridger for his selfless bravery and courage. Some commenters were also worried if Bridger might need counselling to process his trauma.
