The celebrations of the much-awaited Durga Puja have started. This time Maa Durga is being worshipped across the country amid strict COVID norms. Today is Maha Saptami, the seventh day of Durga Puja. It marks the beginning of the battle between Maa Durga and evil Mahisasura.The Puja began in the morning in all temples, ashrams and community pandals with Vedic hymns, playing of Conch or Shankha and beating of drums.

In Pathsala, Devotees thronged ‘Pathsala Hari Mandir‘ premises in the morning of Maha Saptami obeying the covid protocol to offer Pushpanjali to goddess durga puja wearing masks and new clothes. Prayer were offer to goddess Durga Puja to keep all beings in peace and tranquility. The committee have kept the hand are not allowing devotees without masks.

However, less number of devotees are visiting temples and pandals.

Mentioned may be made that the government has imposed strict guidelines for all Community Puja and public to prevent further spread of infection of the virus.
