Ranjeet Kumar Dass, state president of BJP and the contesting candidate of Patacharkuchi LAC from BJP alliance party wants to upgrade the constituency into a prestigious one like Jalukbari, Majuli, Tezpur etc. in coming days as the constituency is lagging behind in the development activities.
He expressed his confidence that he will able to win the constituency in the ensuing election.

Taking to the media person at Patacharkuchi press club he said that CAA will not affect in the election and it will increase the votes of the party.
In the coming days, he stressed on amendment of the CAA to give the opportunity of the people like Rabha, Garo and Koch communities those still in Bangladesh to be a citizen of the state.
He said that he is not like to promise the people of the constituency for specific works but he will have to interact with the people of the constituency and after discussion the scope of development will be surveyed and practically implemented the development work if voted to power.
Dass who is attending around 20 meetings per day in various part is welcomed by the people of the constituency and around five thousand congress man and other party workers have already joined in the party newly and joining programme is still continuing.
He also alleged that the previous MLA fails to develop the constituency and condition of major road is still in deplorable state.
He also expressed his willing to lead the constituency like a common people of the constituency without brand of political parties.
Talking on the 6th schedule he said that the govt. will complete the delimitation of the constituency for the greater interest of the implementation of the 6th schedule practically.
